Taking classes at the University of Zurich

MACIS offers classes both by ETH and University of Zurich lecturers (see MACIS class schedule for details). However, there are also classes offered by the University of Zurich that are not part of MACIS but which may be taken with prior approval from the MACIS Director of Studies.

To enroll in University of Zurich classes not offered by MACIS, you must first register with the university. You must do this each semester, and it is important that you do so, as your grade may not be valid if you do not. Fill in the "Application form for studying minor subjects" and submit it at the latest the week before lectures begin.

Once you have decided to take a class at the Uni of Zurich, we will need written proof that you have passed your classes there. You can do this two ways: either print out a “course attendance confirmation sheet” (Testatbogen) in myStudies and fill in the course title, course number, semester, grade, credit points and have the lecturer sign it, or have the lecturer write a letter to the MACIS Admin.
